Who pays us
- Simbye (China eSIM). We get a share of each sale made through our link. Our code NOMADCHINA15 gives you 15% off.
- Amnezia (VPN). We get a share of each plan bought through our link.
These are the only two affiliate programmes we use. We have no deal with Airalo, Holafly, Nomad, Saily, Ubigi or any mainstream VPN, and we do not take payment to write about them.
How you can tell
Every paid link is marked as an ad next to the link, carries rel="sponsored nofollow", and is followed by a link to this page. Links to OONI, vendor pages and other sources are not paid.
How we pick what to recommend
- We start from the evidence: OONI measurements from inside China, a vendor's written statement with its date, or an official source.
- We write down what the evidence does not cover. A vendor claim stays a vendor claim.
- We do not hide the weak points of a partner. Our Amnezia page says the app is not yet confirmed in China.
- If the evidence changes, we change the page, even if it costs us a sale.
